Just wanted to give everyone a quick update...
My surgery (a laprascopic bowel resection) on April 2nd was successful. After a few days of recovery I was discharged in the afternoon on April 5th.
So far, everything has been coming along swimmingly. Although I don't have anything pleasant to say about the whole experience, evidently I could be in worse shape than I'm in. I'll give credit to my surgeon, having a good fitness base going into surgery and plain old luck.
While I'm doing well overall, there's pain and discomfort still, of course, but that's easily managed by some vicodin and rest mixed in with some deliberate moving around that's needed to drive the healing process.
At this point, I'm not sure when I'm going to be back in for classes but a safe assumption would be about a week from now.
Speaking of getting back... given my current inablity to demo movements, I'll be picking people out of the classes to do so and will supplement with video as needed. Be prepared to provide "teaching moments". :-)
Lastly, but not least -- a big THANK YOU to everyone out there that has emailed or called to offer their support. You guys are awesome! I can't wait to be back and look forward to seeing you all soon.
Much Love,
Kitch
