First off, I have to say that I wish I had a whole cadre of peeps down here with me to represent CrossFit Davis.

The carnival atmosphere is great. Each affiliate with participating athletes has tents set up and everyone just hangs out. Lots of people know people from other affiliates, so it's one big mixer.

As for the event -- holy crap. WOD A, the 500m Row, Burpee, 165lb jerk was a beast and my guy Will Dotterweich got a bit caught up in the moment and rowed a 1:26 when he should have pulled a 1:35. Going 9 secounds faster on the row cost him a minute, at least on his overall  WOD A time. Even so -- he put up a number that was really, really good.

It took him about 20 minutes to recover and feel human again. A bit of lunch and bullshitting around with the folks from CrossFit Monterey, CrossFit Genesis, CrossFit East Sac, CrossFit Solano and CrossFit Diablo it was time to hit WOD B.

William made a a BIG ASS COMEBACK in WOD B -- putting up a 79. And by 79, I mean he cleaned 185lbs 65 times and did 14 muscle ups in 10 minutes. It was epic. I can't even talk anymore my voice is so hoarse. And my stomach hurts worse from yelling for him than any post surgery workout I've done so far.

Next year, people. We will represent and it'll be a blast.

As for this year -- there is still the Affiliate Cup.

Registration for the Affiliate Cup will open at 0600 PDT on Monday, May 11th. It will be open until 1800 PDT on Friday, May 22nd, or when the event is sold out, whichever comes first.

You do not have to have your final athletes determined at this point. You just need to register the team.

Teams will be comprised of four to six athletes, at least two men and two women. The additional two athletes will be allowed to rotate in according to rules forthcoming.

Please spread the word

The Games are over the July 10th-12th weekend. Down in Aromas, CA - just between Monterey and Gilroy. I've talked to some of you about it already and will need a committment not too long after the registration deadline.

Congratulations and total respect to Will and Chris. For anyone that does not know or has not seen this young men train, please recognize. These guys are maniacs. I am honored and humbled to work out in the same facility as these two. Congratulations again.
