Someone asked at the box what a burpee-pull-up is. As demo'd in the clip above. It's a burpee, followed by a pull-up. Those moves before the pull-up. That's the burpee, with the burpee technically ending when the bar gets grabbed.
Ah, the burpee-pull-up. It's a met-con combo that's get's you to the "desired effect" pretty quickly -- especially when they are part of an exercise couplet. Take for example the video above where they are being performed 30x over three rounds with a 20 lb weighted vest and a 500m row to start each one off. You can just see the desired effect. Incidentally, Jonji finished that Klown Special WOD in 23:30-ish if memory serves.
