It's been a long road getting this all going, but it's finally starting to happen. The requested tenant improvements (like bathrooms & showers) are finally being completed and we are slated to take over the space on March 1st. If things fall into place -- we should be running our first WOD on March 9th or 10th.
Either way, we'll let you know here on www.crossfitdavis.com
I know some of you out there have expressed an interest in helping move some stuff around / transporting equipment / laying flooring and the like. If that sounds like a fun day to you -- laying flooring for time -- drop me an email at

Fight Gone Bad Challenge
How high can you score? How much can you improve in eight weeks? Well, we're going to see by setting our baselines in the Fight Gone Bad prelims on April 4th.
We want to build community here, and we want to give you the chance to prove to yourself what you can do! Our "Challenges" are athletic events/competitions that our local CrossFit community trains for over 6-8 weeks to see how much they can improve their time or score. They give each student a chance to test the efficacy of our random, general and functional CrossFit programming by helping you answer the question, "Will I improve my score/time on a workout simply by sticking to the basic CrossFit programming while creating my intention around one specific workout?" On top of that, it's a hell of a lot of fun since the finals are a really big, community event, and everyone that participates is "vested" (66% of your entry fee goes back into the prize "kitty!") We're looking to do a different challenge about 5 times each year.
Again - the prelims for the FGB challenge are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 4th at 1PM. Details to follow soon. In the meantime - here's a video of Fight Gone Bad along with an explanation by Coach Glassman.
