Back Squat 5-5-5-5-5

Add weight each set and end as high as your circumstance dictates.

As prep - watch this video and every other related Rippetoe squat video that you can handle....

Ending with around 425 as a male should grab you close to the top spot on Beyond The White Board. 175 or 185 as a female should land you in the top 25 or so.

155-155-155 (only did three sets)

then stuck around for some two-position clean & jerks. Five sets of two at 105 lbs.

Wrecked rectus abdominis from Sunday, so did strict pull-ups and bar dips instead. 35 of each, alternating sets of 3. (First 5 pull-ups were with a 15# vest. Uf da!)

You ladies are ridiculous. Inspiring, and ridiculous. Nice sets, Maiya. And Libby, regular pull-ups just aren't hard enough, huh?

My 5x back squats: 35-45-55-60-65

Then I took off 10# to try and work on my form and eliminate the bar travel, but had an awkward balance loss/dump fail maneuver that dropped 55# on my C7 (C6? T2? don't know) pretty painfully, and I've got a hellavu bruise, and some pain radiating up into my neck on one side and down into my shoulder on the same side. Pfooey.

Shoot, barbell injuries are NO GOOD! If you need any tiger balm-y muscle rub, I've got plenty to share!

Thanks, Libby. I iced it the first night, and tiger balm is a good call, I think I'll use that today, I've got a little tub at home. It is still so sore!

back squats in retrospect sound more than what I did

Melinda and my Wod

10-1 Deadlift (1.5BW for men, BW for women)
1-10 Push Press (.75 BW for men, .5 BW for women)

I did 305 lbs/ 155 lbs

super hard to pushpress with no more core power

i only got 4 reps at 255 and didnt do a 5th set but 235 was my previous 5rm so i'm happy
