Workout of the Day

The Open is here! W00t! You have until Sunday to register. Sign up and take a crack at it! Aside from qualifying for the regionals as individuals, this is how we, as an affiliate, qualify to move on. The top three scores from each workout are submitted and are the scores that are used against every other team competing in NorCal. Ya never know when something will be in your wheelhouse or when injury or other happenstance will occur and have you rise to the occasion. Last year we had peeps that just barely stayed Rx'd in some WODs but helped out in others.

And then there is the total boost your performance gets from competing. Ask Libby. Ask Kirsten.

You're going to be doing the Open WODs anyway. Ya -- the Open WODs are going to be a daily WOD as well. You might as well do the Open.

Note -- if you can't make the Saturday slot -- you can make other arrangements to do the WOD. That's not a legit excuse.

Let's Work

Yesterday we overhead squatted -- today we front squat.

Front Squat a Heavy double for the day up to a 2RM. Use wraps / cross chest rack as needed if flexibility is an issue. Get those elbows up! Screw the feet into the floor and knees out!

Then -- 

Power Snatch: Three sets of 10 reps (as quickly as possible)

Give yourself 2 minutes between sets and choose a challenging weight that allows you to complete the reps -- as hvy as you can go with good form.
