Traditionally, you are going to want to use a weight light enough for you to complete leg and hip extension, shrug and move the bar higher by pulling the elbows up and to the sides until your upper arms are about parallel to the floor. Drive into the floor, pushing on the balls of the feet until the bar reaches it's highest position.
