Well, I did more of a high bar high back-squat, but still . . . 55#,65#,75#,85#,95#,105#
and I only had time for one round of row sprints: ?,125 m, 125 m, 115 m

Part 1A: 135, 145, 155, 155, 165, 165

Part 1B: I used a pair of 20kg kettlebells. Got 3 rounds with 9 split squats per leg & 15 GHRs each round.

Part 2, ~ hours later
142, 143, 142, 144m rows
During the 10-minute rest, all the rowers got filled up (at the ARC), so I biked home and ran half a tabata around my apartment complex.

The row sprints didn't feel all that hard... shorter rests or longer sprints would have felt "better".

Part 1A - 115, 120, 125, 135, 140.
Then I did some of the glute ham raises...killer! My hammies are screaming at me!

May or may not get to the gym for rowing later. Law school is such an inconvenience!!

P.S. Scott and I were both surprised by how sore our arms were after today's workout... weird. Anyone else get this? Any explanation?

Sore already? Or mostly tired?

Anyhoo...

Isometric stress can be a factor, but it's more likely you're crushing the bar with your grip and also driving up against it with your arms vs using them as supports.

So -- how should your hands be? Well, thumbs over the bar and wrists completely straight is generally recommended. The straight wrists contribute to the "no drive with the hands / arms" .

More tired than sore, really. I wasn't really paying attention to my grip, which means I was probably holding on for dear life.

My arms are pretty sore too, but I figured it was from the rowing. I was crushing the bar pretty good though. I always feel like I need a lot of arm to stabilize the bar on my back.

75, 75, 95, 95, 115, 125

787m on the row 30s on 30s off x5
