Workout of the Day

Three ways to hit a WOD:

  • Heavy / close to rx'd as possible - time goes out the window
  • Scale so that you finish in a "good" to elite time
  • Somewhere in between

Which way describes you? Is it just that one or have you mixed things up?


Mary C. going with a band to get full range of motion for HSPU. The band is nice because it's not as solid as a wall and requires quite a bit of mid-line stability that bracing against a wall does not.

Today's Workout

A1. Front Squat @ 30X0; 3,3,3,2,2,2,1,1,1; rest 180 sec
A2. Seated Military Press @ 30X0; 3,3,3,2,2,2,1,1,1; rest 180 sec
B. 2 hands overhead GHD Sit Ups - amrap in 30 sec/ 30 sec rest x 8

6am class did "My Dead Chin", since Mary and I just did a bunch of front squats & GHD sit-ups on Monday.

155# deadlifts, kipping pull-ups

1: 2 + 6 DL
2: 2
3: 2 + 6 DL
4: 1 + 7 DL

Went to open gym and did OHS, back squats, and GHDs. PR'd on OHS with 110.
